| "I just wanted
to thank you all for all your hard work on the strategy and welcome
pages and for your high level of professionalism during the course
of this project. It has been a pleasure working with you, and
I hope we will have the opportunity to work together again."

McDougal Littel
Business Challenge: McDougal Littel, a Houghton Mifflin
Company, is a leading publisher of textbooks and other curriculum
materials for sixth- through twelfth-grade teachers and students.
They use innovative techniques to help educators. Looking for
a way to incorporate interactive technologies with their print
materials, they partnered with Ajenda to create Web-based test-taking
strategies.
Solution: The challenge for Ajenda was to present the
test-taking strategies in the appropriate context at a level consistent
with the textbook material. Our experience with integrated design
and our understanding of how people interact with information
online gave us an insight into how the components would be used,
and how they could be presented in the most effective manner.
Moreover, these strategies needed to be flowed into the student's
own self-paced "discovery" and "learning"
process. Flash animation pieces were designed to present the "test-taking
message" in a fashion that was usable and appropriate to
the media.
Impact: Ajenda has created test-taking strategies for
multiple textbooks. McDougal Littel was excited about the resulting
product and contracted with Ajenda to create strategies for additional
textbooks.
