"When we were in the process of redesigning the Consumerguide.com site, we became aware of several workflow and interface issues that that would have compromised our tight schedule. Ajenda helped us redesign the look and feel, and provided the site with consistent navigation allowing visitors to move freely through the site resulting in a much improved user experience."

Business Challenge: For more than 30 years, Consumer Guide has been a trusted resource helping smart consumers make buying decisions with confidence. Consumer Guide had scheduled a relaunch of their site but recognized several user experience problems that were potential barriers. They teamed with Ajenda to perform a User Experience Evaluation and to solve the site's usability issues prior to a relaunch of ConsumerGuide.com.
Solution: Our User Experience Evaluation approach integrates
three well established evaluation techniques - Usability Evaluation,
Look and Feel Evaluation, and Site Heuristic Analysis. Our analysis
of ConsumerGuide.com provided a holistic approach to testing for
design integrity, appropriateness for intended business functions,
and information goals. Usability problems were identified on the
pre-release Web site: inconsistent placement of graphic elements,
lack of visual feedback, overuse of jargon, and confusing placement
of advertising. Ajenda responded with site modifications which
addressed the major usability issues and minimized impact to the
complex back-end content management system.
Impact: Ajenda modified the design of the site with a
powerful new customer focus in one month, and the site was successfully
relaunched prior to the holiday shopping season as planned. We
followed up with a post-launch User Evaluation, which demonstrated
that the major interaction problems were resolved.
